According to the report, these Motorcycle crashes result in more fatalities -- motorcyclists are 30 times more likely to die in a traffic crash than passenger car occupants, Encouraging the use of a helmet, the report references several studies that indicate the use of a motorcycle helmet reduces the risk of death by as much as 39 percent.

Not all accidents involving motorcyclists are caused by the motorcycle driver. It is important that all car drivers keep an eye out for motorcycles--especially when changing lanes and turning at intersections. A few extra seconds of safety and awareness could save a life.

Drive and ride safely and watch out for those who don't.
