Belmar ? The Belmar Arts Council (BAC) is looking for submissions to its Pattern in Nature Juried Photography Expos?ition. The show of original photographs is open to artists age 17 and older.
Entries may be brought to The Boatworks, Belmar Art Council?s headquarters, at 608 River Road from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 1, and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 2.
The exhibition will be displayed from 1 to 5 p.m. Wed?nesdays through Sundays from June 9 through July 6. An opening reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 9. Enter?tainment and light refreshments will be provided. Awards will be presented at the opening reception.
Artists should note that all artwork must be original and not previously exhibited in a BAC show. Two pieces per artist may be entered. Acceptance is not guaranteed. Specifics regarding size, framing and other entry requirements can be obtained along with an entry form and complete details online at www.belmararts.org.
The entry fee is $10 per piece for BAC members or $15 per piece for nonmembers. Sales of work are encouraged but not required.
Dues, donations and grants fund the programs of the Belmar Arts Council. BAC?s events are made possible, in part, by the Belmar Tourism Commission, the New Jersey Cultural Trust, OceanFirst Foundation, and Monmouth County Arts Council through funding from the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Free?holders, the Monmouth County Historical Commis?sion, and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a partner agency of the National Endowment of the Arts.
This year?s awards are provided by sponsorship of seven BAC trustees.
The Belmar Arts Council is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to making Belmar a better place to live through the arts.
