The current exhibitors come from 14 different countries and include companies such as Reson, Sonardyne, Kongsberg Maritime and Teledyne, with country pavilions confirmed from Atlantic Canada, Korea, UK (organised by the Society of Maritime Industries) and USA.
Blue Economy
A spokesman for the CSO explain that China has ambitious goals for the development of a national ?Blue Economy? and, as the only event that connects the demand for marine science and technologies with the world?s manufacturers and service providers, Oceanology International offers the Society a platform to help realise these goals.
Strong Market Place for Subsea Equipment
The Society for Underwater Technology (SUT), with its long and unbroken history of involvement with the Oceanology International series of events, is the Learned Society Patron of Oceanology International China. The SUT is established in China with a very active branch. It is very much to be welcomed that Oceanology International will now also take place in Shanghai, according to Ian Gallett, SUT?s business development executive. He sees that China is emerging as a very strong market place for subsea equipment, as well as developing its own industry. He hopes that the show will develop into a major force in the region.
