WAREHAM ?

A college student was transported to the hospital Wednesday morning after a four-car crash on Cranberry Highway, which included a police vehicle, said fire officials.

Fire Capt. Matt Rowley said officials responded at 9:15 a.m. to a collision involving a police truck and three other cars. The police truck was operated by a maintenance man, not by a police officer, said Rowley.

Only one driver - a college student - was transported with minor injuries to Tobey Hospital in Wareham, said Rowley.

No names have been released.

The accident occurred at 2544 Cranberry Highway, in Wareham, just outside the Total Auto Concepts auto detailing store.

No other information was immediately available.
